Humidity Lovers: Best Indoor Plants for Humid Conditions

Are you tired of the high humidity during monsoon? I get it, no one likes humidity, especially when it comes with tropical heat. But guess what? Some of our indoor plants actually love it! So, while you might be fed up, seeing your plants thrive might just make you feel a bit better about it.

1. Areca Palm:

The Areca Palm loves humidity and looks great in the corner of your house. But don’t forget, you’ll often find mealy bugs on the leaves, so it looks good but with a bit of extra care.

2. Spider Plant:

The spider plant grows freely, producing multiple small babies each week. But be careful—not to move it into direct sunlight, or its beautiful leaves will fade. The plant won't die, but its looks will suffer. It's very easy to grow and adds a lovely touch wherever you place it.

3. Orchid Plant:

Yes, you read it right. Orchids are huge humidity lovers—they don’t take nutrients from the soil, but need airy roots and a humid environment to thrive. Sure, they need a bit of extra care, but once the flowers bloom, they last 2-3 months. Aren’t those beautiful flowers worth a little effort to have an orchid in your home?

4. Fiddle Leaf Fig:

I'm a new mom to this beautiful fig plant and I already love it. I bought the sapling because fully grown plants are so pricey at the nursery. I suggest giving it a try; I’ve seen this plant grow taller than 5 feet.

5. Golden Pothos (aka Money Plant):

If we're talking about humidity, how could we forget the money plant? It's ridiculously easy to grow, thrives in any condition—even when neglected. You can even plant it in your bathroom or kitchen. Now, isn't that versatile?
